skoup vs ChatSEO

ChatSEO helps you rank in Google and writes articles. skoup measures products' visibility in AI assistants and counts orders.

In short

ChatSEO is an SEO assistant you chat with: it analyzes a site, reads its Google data and writes content, published to WordPress. Its field is ranking in Google. skoup is built for online stores: it measures whether AI assistants cite your products, checks what they say about them against your catalog and links it all to orders.

The two tools do not answer the same question. ChatSEO helps you work on your visibility, in Google and in AI answers; it says itself that it does not measure it in the assistants. skoup measures that visibility week after week, and fixes what holds it back.

The information about ChatSEO comes from its public pages, read on October 20, 2026 and listed at the bottom of this page. When a piece of information is not there, we say so.

What ChatSEO does

  • An assistant you talk to. You ask your question in plain language; specialized agents share the work. Twelve tracks cover strategy, keywords, competition, on-page, internal linking, backlinks, indexing, structured data, local SEO, GEO and NinjaLinking.
  • Data from Google and SEO providers. Clicks, impressions and positions come from the site's Search Console; traffic from Google Analytics 4 from the Pro plan; search volumes, Google results, competitors and backlinks from DataForSEO; domain authority is Ahrefs' Domain Rating.
  • No tracking of AI answers. Its help center says so: ChatSEO does not monitor the answers of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Claude and does not measure how often a site is cited in them. The GEO track helps work on that visibility, without measuring it over time.
  • Writing and publishing to WordPress. Articles it writes go to WordPress as a draft or live, as a post or a page, through the WordPress REST API; an optional plugin adds Gutenberg blocks and Yoast, Rank Math or AIOSEO metadata. Its help center states that WordPress is the only CMS that can be connected today.
  • Product pages. On WooCommerce, ChatSEO applies a product page fix once approved. On Shopify, its e-commerce page announces the publishing of blog posts and gives the text to paste for product pages and collections; its help center states that the app is under review at Shopify, with no date announced.
  • A price per message. One credit is one message sent, whatever its complexity. Starter includes 100 credits a month, one site and one member.
  • An MCP server and an API from the Pro plan.

What skoup does

  • Measurement in the assistants. Every query is replayed several times on each assistant, and every share is shown with its 95% confidence interval. The panel starts from your catalog and never names your brand: see where our queries come from.
  • The catalog as the reference. Price, stock, variants and specifications are synced from Shopify or WooCommerce, or imported through a CSV or Google Shopping feed.
  • A verdict per attribute: accurate, missing, distorted or wrong, for price, availability and specifications.
  • The store's orders attributed to assistants, on every plan, next to AI visits and Search Console impressions.
  • Fixes written into the store (Shopify or WooCommerce write-back) from the Growth plan.
  • API, MCP server and webhooks on every plan.

When to choose ChatSEO

  • Your priority is ranking in Google: keywords, volumes, competitors, backlinks.
  • You want a tool that writes your articles and publishes them to WordPress.
  • You would rather ask your questions in a conversation than read a dashboard.
  • You are looking for a lower entry price.

When to choose skoup

  • You want to know whether AI assistants cite your products, with a number and its margin of error, week after week.
  • You want to know whether the price, stock and specifications quoted are those of your catalog.
  • You want to count orders coming from assistants, not only clicks.
  • You want to fix the product page in Shopify or WooCommerce from the tool that found the error.
  • You track several assistants, from ChatGPT to Claude, Perplexity or Mistral.

The two tools can also work together: one for ranking in Google, the other for measuring in the assistants.
